About this Episode

The people around us matter. Our conversations, relationships, friendships, and even the voices we regularly listen to can influence the way we think, what we value, and the direction we are heading.

In this episode, we talk about checking your circle and asking an important question:

Are the people around me pointing me toward God or toward the world?

This isn’t about judging people or walking away from everyone who believes differently. Sometimes God may be asking you to be the person who brings encouragement, faith, and light into someone else’s life.

But it is important to pay attention to influence, including the influence you are having on others.

In this episode:

  • Why your circle matters

  • How relationships can quietly shape your priorities

  • Recognizing whether someone is helping you grow or pulling you away

  • Why you don’t necessarily need to remove people from your life

  • How you can point others toward God

  • Checking what you are contributing to your own circle

  • Why your “circle” also includes the voices you follow online

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17

“Walk with the wise and become wise.” Proverbs 13:20

Sunday Courage Challenge:

Take a few minutes this week and check your circle.

Ask yourself: Who is influencing me? Who is sharpening me? Who am I influencing?

And most importantly: Am I becoming the kind of person who points the people around me toward God?
